At a glance
A filter needs the current item's text. Check the copy path before changing mod names, values or branches.
Before you start
Use a low-value identified item whose mods you can recognize. Keep it in a known inventory cell. Stop any active automation before checking shortcuts manually.
1. Focus the game
Open the item panel you intend to use. Hover the actual item and confirm its tooltip is visible. Keep other windows and overlays away from it.
Use the English PoE client so copied names agree with the app's mod data.
2. Check extended item copy
With the cursor over the item, press Ctrl+Alt+C. Paste into a plain text editor and check that the result belongs to that item.
Look for the item name, rarity and modifier lines. Compare a recognizable value with the tooltip. Repeat with a different item to confirm the clipboard changes.
3. Free the shortcut
If another app opens or the copied text stays unchanged, disable Windows Copilot and any global binding that takes Ctrl+Alt+C. Check keyboard utilities and other running tools for the same shortcut.
Also review Settings > Hotkeys in Path of Rolling for conflicts with your game controls.
4. Check the item position
Open Help > Check layout on game client. Confirm the inventory grid and item position agree with the live game.
For a bulk run, make the overlay cover only the cells you intend to process. A grid aimed at an empty cell cannot supply the item your filter expects.
5. Test one condition
Create a simple Check Item test, such as the item's actual rarity. Connect both outcomes to Finish and run it on that item.
Read Logs. Once this basic check behaves correctly, add the specific mod requirement from Mod requirements.
Check the result
Manual copy changes when the hovered item changes. A simple Check Item reads the intended item and takes the expected branch.
If it does not work
- Empty or stale clipboard: check focus, tooltip and global shortcuts again.
- Correct manual text but wrong automated item: check saved window and grid positions.
- Correct item with a failed mod check: inspect the exact mod, value range and requirement mode.
When asking for help in the official Discord, include the relevant log and item text. Remove account or license details from public posts.
