At a glance
Currency Exchange (Faustus) automates exchange actions. It carries account risk. Read the app's Currency Exchange warning before enabling it and use a small first order.
Before you start
Finish Currency Exchange capture in Capture wizards. Follow Must-dos for required currency, gold, inventory space and cleared orders. Check Inventory Grid in Area Locations.
Use currency you are willing to exchange. Decide the maximum amount before starting.
1. Add Currency Exchange
Create a practice tree and add Currency Exchange (Faustus). Read the CX acknowledgment and click I Understand only after reviewing it.
Connect Start > Currency Exchange > Finish so the practice run reaches the exchange once.
2. Create the parameters
In the node's Parameters section, use Auto-fill or create each binding individually:
- Sell currency: exact in-game name, such as
Chaos Orb. - Buy currency: exact name of the currency you want.
- Amount to sell: the amount offered per order.
- Max orders per run: use 1 for this check; the supported range is 1 to 10.
Review the values in the Start dialog. A default or an existing parameter may already contain an amount.
3. Choose a pricing route
Buy price (listed receive) uses that exchange route's receive-side pricing.
poe.ninja buy (max chaos, ≤2% over ninja) requires Chaos Orb as the sell currency. On this route, Amount to sell is the maximum chaos offered; the app calculates the buy and sell amounts from its currency-price data with the displayed limit.
Choose the route you intend to use. The two routes interpret the amount differently.
4. Set inventory planning
For an exchange-only practice tree, leave Plan take/deposit clicks using the tree bulk grid layout off and keep inventory clear.
Enable it when the same run uses bulk crafting and the exchange must account for its occupied cells. The saved Inventory Grid is needed either way.
5. Inspect the setup and run once
Check the exchange pins against the live UI. Confirm sell currency, buy currency, amount, gold and one-order limit before starting.
Read Logs when the step finishes. Open Faustus and inspect the order, remaining currency and received items.
Check the result
The single order uses the intended currency pair and amount. Inspect whether it completed and what was received before increasing the order count.
If it does not work
Check exact currency names, gold, premium tab setup, free inventory space and unfinished orders. If a panel check fails, revisit the named Currency Exchange capture and its pins.
